What season is it?!
I'm not even gonna try and debunk global warming, but have you looked outside the window of your own world lately? Have you checked in with your internal meteorologist to help you gauge not only what outside may feel like but what kind of weather you should actually prepare for? Sometimes, it's not the high winds of life you should be focused on, but maybe try adjusting your internal thermostat.

We sometimes put a lot of attention on what's going on around us. Between our work lives, home lives, ship lives (relationships, friendships, situationships, or yachts if you have it like that,) there will always be some level of storms brewing in our direction. There are times when we do our best to help people out because of our own personal experiences and we don't want people having to experience the same level of hurt or more. Now, for those who feel otherwise, newsflash, you still have moments when your surroundings frustrate the very last nerve you have on life support. But when was the last time you took a step back to think about what you may need in your current season?
Quote It Out!
“Storms come and go, but always make sure you're dressed for the appropriate weather.”
*turns T.V. on and ques news broadcasting song* Hello and good day, this is your meteorologist Ohmarah Dee tuning in live from your Headquarters! As we look at today's forecast, it seems like we're approaching day 154 of very dreary weather. We're expecting mostly cloudy skies, possible hurricane-like winds and dangerous amount of debris has been blown around through the chaotic storm overnight. We highly recommend staying indoors, bunkering down, and taking inventory on what you have been bypassing emotionally to help alleviate any additional damage that could take place. If things continue to progress in a downward spiral, we're predicting minivan-sized sinkholes that could begin to form around 2am Eastern Time. Although this sounds bleak, there is a chance for the storm to pass peacefully if a few internal issues are addressed at a time. We could see a decrease in winds, all the way down to 7 mph, light rain, and partly cloudy skies. But this is contingent on what you choose to address internally without deflection of accountability. That's the weather forecast for today, back to you Oh! *shuts T.V. off*
Don't be scared of yourself.
Well, that was a hell of a report! I'm not gonna lie, I expected that to be much worse, but that's because I can only image what wrong without actually checking in to see what IS wrong. As we try to breeze through our days and years, we don't take a step back often to see how far we've come, what we've brought with us on the journey, where we're heading to, and what we can let go of on the way. Sometimes we miss the season that we're in because we spend more time harping on what's happened before instead of using the past as a reference. Take a moment to think about what has changed for you personally in the last 6 months, year, even 3 years! Now when was the last time you celebrated yourself? See, it's easy to show up and conquer the storms or enjoy the sun shines of loved ones, but when was the last time you celebrated your sunny days? Are you aware of the areas that were once stagnant, broken, completely shunned, and ignored, that you have overcome them but bypassed your progress because you had to play shelter area for someone else? (Spoiler alert) as Spiderman said to Spiderman, "Just take a moment and sit in that, you are amazing!" Give yourself the breathing space you deserve.
A provoked thought
Putting out someone else's fire doesn't make you a hearo if your own fire is spreading; get your hose in check!
It's very cliché to hear, "Focus on what you can control and let go of what you have no control over," but have you thought about it from a tea cup point of view? Just follow me here: you're holding a tea cup from the bottom and someone pours piping hot water in it. Now the cup clearly is getting hot, however, you have comfortably chosen to continue to hold the cup at an astatically pleasing but hurtful angle. Now, you can not control the content in the cup, but you can control how you hold the cup. So the question is, do you proceed to hold the cup from the bottom as a weird flex to look like you can keep it together and possibly hurt yourself and others, or do you put the cup down and pick it up from the handle, saving yourself from 1st degree burns and not harming anyone else? Let's be smart here, we're not in the business of making ourselves less than to help someone or something else feel greater than what they really are in our lives. Take the reigns of your life back and fix that you have the ability to control. If you don't like your hair, size, style, or whatever it may be, do what you have to do, but make sure it's for yourself and no one else.
You are loved!
Whatever the weather may permit, be sure to have a raincoat and an umbrella on the days you feel dreary. But also make sure you have a few tea bags on hand just in case you want to treat yourself to something warm in the cold (don't question it, you deserve it!) When it's bright outside and you want to get some fresh air make sure you apply some sunblock to that delicate skin of yours and through some shades on to block the haters. Make sure you're taking care of yourself through any weather that comes your way! Always remember to enjoy more, stress less, stay primmed & processed!
